This season is about pouring into others, creating, teaching, worshipping, and reminding people that God is still writing beautiful stories.
If you had told the younger me that this season would be one of the most fruitful of my life, I am not sure I would have believed you. We are so trained to believe that our best years are the early ones that we can almost miss the gift of the years we are living right now. But today — this today — is a chapter I am learning to cherish.
This season is about pouring into others. The lessons I learned the long way, I now get to share in a few words. The prayers I prayed in secret are bearing fruit in the lives of people I may never meet. There is a particular joy in the later years — the joy of seeing seeds you planted decades ago come up green and strong.
This season is also about creating. I am still writing. Still learning. Still curious about what God might do next. The world calls it retirement. I call it redeployment. There is no expiration date on a life yielded to God. As long as He gives me breath, He gives me purpose.
And this season is about worshipping. Not just the singing kind, though I love that too. But the kind of worship that happens when you look back over a long life and see, with stunning clarity, that not one promise of God has ever failed. Every chapter — the joyful ones and the aching ones — has proven His faithfulness. And that is worth a lifetime of praise.
So here I am. Still becoming. Still trusting. Still pointing anyone who will listen to the God who has carried me this far and will carry me the rest of the way home. Today is not the end of the story. It is simply the page we are on. And the Author is still writing.
With love, Auntie Mina
