A Little About Me
About Auntie Mina
Hear me. The best chapters are not behind us. Life has taken me through war, motherhood, grief. joy, reinvention, and more unexpected turns than I could have imagined. Through every season, God has remained faithful.
If you're looking for encouragement, honest conversations, timeless wisdom, and a place where faith meets everyday life, you've found your chair.

My Story
Every Life Has Chapters
Mine has carried me across countries, careers, motherhood, ministry, loss, reinvention, and seasons I never could have planned. Through it all, I have learned that a life does not have to be perfect to be meaningful, and a difficult chapter does not have to become the whole story.
This is a little of the journey that brought me to this table.
Where I Began
Today, most people simply call me Auntie Mina.
I am a wife, mother, grandmother, author, teacher, storyteller, creator, and lifelong learner. After decades of caring for people as a nurse, I am still drawn to encouraging people, only now I do it through books, conversations, music, faith, creativity, technology, and the stories gathered over a life well lived.
At seventy, I am not winding down. I am still curious. Still learning. Still creating. Still laughing. Still discovering new things about God, people, purpose, and myself. And I have become increasingly convinced that some of our richest chapters can begin long after the world expects us to have finished writing them.

Small Delights
Things That Bring Me Joy

Quiet mornings with Scripture

Tea and good company

Words that become pages

Flowers, always
A table full of family

Threads of home

Somewhere new to wander

A stack waiting to be read

Stillness before the day begins
Behind the Story
A Few Things You May Not Know About Me
Faith
My faith in Jesus Christ is the anchor of my life, shaping how I love, serve, endure difficult seasons, and choose joy.
Heritage
My Nigerian roots, especially my Ijaw heritage, shaped my love of family, faith, storytelling, good food, and gathering people together.
Hospitality
I believe there is almost always room for one more chair, one more plate, and one more person who needs to feel welcome.
Travel
From Nigeria to America, with seasons in England and experiences across Europe, travel has taught me to appreciate both our differences and the things we share.
Books
I read to learn, reflect, grow, and sometimes simply disappear into someone else’s story for a little while.

AI & Creativity
I am fascinated by what happens when human imagination meets new technology, especially when it helps us create, preserve stories, and serve people better.
Creativity
Writing, music, cooking, design, storytelling, and making something from an idea keep my mind curious and my days interesting.
Lifelong Learning
I earned my MBA in my sixties and embraced AI in my seventies. I intend to keep learning for as long as God gives me a curious mind.
