There was a time I thought I knew exactly how my story would unfold. I had drawn the lines neatly — a quiet life, a steady rhythm, the kind of days that fit inside the plans I had made with God. But the Lord has a way of gently taking the pen from our hands and writing something far more beautiful than we would have dared to ask for.
I remember the season everything changed. It did not arrive with a thunderclap. It came softly, the way morning light slips through a curtain — almost unnoticed at first, then impossible to ignore. A door closed. A path I had counted on disappeared. And for a little while, I sat in the quiet of it all and wondered what God was doing.
Maybe you are sitting in a season like that right now. The chapter you were living has ended sooner than you expected, and the next one has not yet revealed itself. If that is where you find yourself today, I want to whisper something I have learned the long way around: God is never late, and He is never surprised. The blank page in front of you is not a mistake. It is an invitation.
Some of His greatest gifts have arrived wrapped in the chapters I would never have chosen. The loss that taught me to lean. The waiting that taught me to trust. The detour that led me home. Each one looked like an interruption at the time. Looking back, I can see they were the story all along.
So if your life has turned in a direction you never imagined, do not be afraid. The Author is still writing. And the story He is telling through you is far more tender, far more faithful, and far more full of grace than anything you could have planned on your own. Pull up a chair. Pour the tea. We are still becoming — and the best chapters are not behind us.
With love, Auntie Mina
